The Diocesan Altar Guild has completed a new stole for your Chaplain to use while ministering to patients in Stanford Hospital and Clinics.

Joanna Henrichs (at right) presented us with this beautiful hand-made vestment. The stole is reversible, with one side intended for use when visiting children and the other when caring for adults.

“I use this wonderful stole when sharing communion with our patients,” Chaplain Tom said. “The first time I worse this stole was when giving thanks for the safe delivery of twins to a wonderful family. Being able to wear this vestment as an outward sign of moving into sacred time with my patients.”

The Diocesan Altar Guild meets on Mondays in the Sewing Room at Grace Cathedral. Please call Marjorie Pettyjohn (510) 559-8431, or call the Sewing Room on a Monday 10am-3pm at (415) 440-6100.There is always room on Mondays for those who care to join this fun group.
