The Southern Illinoisan reports: “Sheryl Black has served as spiritual care manager and chaplain at Herrin Hospital for the past two years. She was a late entrant into ministry, beginning her studies in her mid-40s, after leaving a career in the business field. In addition to the hospital, she is also the priest at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in West Frankfort.”
